HERITAGE MATTERS
In 2016, our Club asked our magnificent supporters, how significant is Motherwell Football Club’s heritage and how it should be celebrated.
The response was overwhelming:
- 100% of you believe the heritage of Motherwell FC is important to the community;
- 85% want a permanent exhibition at Fir Park;
- 62% are excited about establishing a Heritage Trail at the stadium.
Since then, much has changed, including the challenges brought by the Covid pandemic and the evolving landscape of Scottish football.
But our commitment to preserving our heritage remains unwavering.
Why Does Our Heritage Matter?
Just like family heirlooms and stories, the heritage of Motherwell FC is a source of pride and identity for our community. It connects us to our past and inspires future generations. Preserving this heritage ensures that tales of memorable matches and legendary performances live on.
HERITAGE MATTERS SURVEY
Our Club is exploring options to make the heritage of Motherwell FC accessible to fans, former and current players, the local community and visiting football supporters at large. There is an urgent need to preserve what we have – physical objects, documents, films, original records – and keep these safe for future generations. We are very keen to receive input from fans and other stakeholders which will be used to inform a proposed concept plan. To this end, we would be very grateful if you could take the time to complete the survey
